Terms of Service

These terms are between Jason Di (翟家辉), a sole trader based in mainland China trading as TutorMax, and you, the person buying coaching. By paying for a program you accept them. They sit alongside my Privacy policy.

What you're buying

The Kickstart — $1,499 USD. Six 90-minute 1-on-1 coaching sessions across three months, one every two weeks, plus email support between sessions.

The Build — $2,500 USD. Twelve 90-minute 1-on-1 coaching sessions across six months, one every two weeks, plus email support and voice-message support between sessions.

Every session is delivered personally by me, live, over Zoom. There is no associate coach, no recorded course and no group call. Sessions are working sessions: we build your offer, your pricing, your outreach, your scripts and your hiring process on the call.

Booking and cadence

Sessions are booked through Calendly in your own timezone, and the Zoom link is generated and emailed automatically. The intended rhythm is one session every two weeks. If a different rhythm suits your business better we can adjust it, as long as your sessions are used within the window below.

Sessions must be used within six months of your first session on The Kickstart, or twelve months on The Build. That is deliberately double the program length, so an ordinary interruption costs you nothing. Sessions left unused at the end of that window expire.

Rescheduling and missed sessions

You can reschedule any session with at least 24 hours' notice, as often as you need. With less than 24 hours' notice, or if you don't join within 15 minutes of the start time without telling me, the session counts as delivered and is not replaced.

I hold myself to the same notice. If I have to move a session on you, I reschedule it at your convenience and it does not count against your total.

Support between sessions

"Ongoing support" means this. Between sessions you can email me about anything that comes up — a price you're about to quote, an objection you got, a hire you're unsure about — and I reply within 1–2 business days. On The Build you can also send me a voice message for anything that needs unblocking faster; I'll tell you which channel to use when we start.

It is not a 24/7 hotline, it isn't same-day, and it isn't unlimited written consulting or done-for-you work. It is short answers to specific questions between sessions.

Payment

The full fee is paid up front, in USD, through PayPal, on the Work with me page. There is no instalment plan and no invoice to wait for. Once your payment clears I email you within two business days to confirm your start date.

Prices may change in future, but never for a program you have already paid for. Any currency conversion, card or bank charge your own provider adds is yours, as is any tax you owe where you live.

Refunds

All coaching fees are non-refundable. You will only be entitled to a refund where the law requires it, or at my sole discretion.

There is no cooling-off window, no partial refund for sessions you choose not to use, and no money-back guarantee. I would rather say that plainly here than imply otherwise in the sales copy and argue about it later.

Why it works this way. When you buy a program I block out your sessions and stop offering that time to anyone else. There is no stock to put back on a shelf and no seat to resell — the cost to me is the same whether you turn up or not. That is also why the price is what it is. You are buying reserved 1-on-1 time with me, not access to a library of recorded videos.

What I do when something goes wrong. Before anything becomes a refund question, email me. If a session went badly or we spent it on the wrong thing, we redo it. If your life has gone sideways, we pause and pick it back up later. And if it becomes clear that I am the wrong person to help you, I would rather say so and sort it out than take your money and let you resent it. That last one is what "at my sole discretion" is for, and I do use it — it is a judgement I make, not a right you can invoke, but I would rather you knew it exists.

Please talk to me before opening a dispute. If you are unhappy, tell me before you open a PayPal dispute. A dispute freezes the money and stops me being able to fix the actual problem, and almost everything is fixable in one email. Email 3kyouthree@gmail.com with the name you paid under, the payment reference, and what has gone wrong. I read every message myself and I reply within 1–2 business days.

Your rights are untouched. Nothing here takes away rights you have under your own consumer law, and nothing here limits PayPal's Buyer Protection. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, your statutory rights — including any cancellation right you have for services bought online — apply regardless of anything written on this page. That is what "where the law requires it" means.

The 30-minute strategy call is free. There is nothing to refund and no obligation attached to it.

No guarantee of results, and no guarantee of income

I do not guarantee any result, and I do not guarantee any income. Everything I say about my own tutoring business is my own history, in the past tense, and it is not a prediction about you.

Coaching gives you a plan, a playbook and someone to answer to. What it cannot give you is a promise about how many students you will get, what you will be able to charge, whether you will be able to hire, or what you will earn. Those depend on your market, your subject, your teaching, your pricing decisions, and how much of the work you actually do between our sessions. If you want a guaranteed number, please don't buy this.

What coaching is not

This is business coaching, not teaching-methodology training. I am not a lawyer, an accountant or a licensed financial adviser, and nothing I say is legal, tax, immigration or investment advice — for those, use someone qualified in your own country. Every decision about your business remains yours.

Your side of it

Turn up, on time, having done what you said you would do. Tell me the truth about your numbers — I can't help you price something if you round the figures up. Keep your contact details accurate so the Zoom links reach you.

Confidentiality

What you tell me about your business stays between us, and I expect the same about the material and processes I share with you. I will never quote you, name you, or use your business as an example without asking you first.

What I give you is yours to use, not to resell

Templates, scripts, frameworks and documents I hand you are licensed to you for use in your own business. Please don't resell them, publish them, or pass them to another coach's clients.

Recordings

Sessions are not recorded. If you would like to record one for your own notes, ask me first and I'll almost certainly say yes — but the recording is then yours to keep and yours to look after.

If I can't deliver

If I can't deliver your sessions I will reschedule them. If I can't reschedule them at all, I will refund the sessions I have not delivered.

If you stop

If you stop attending, the fee stands, and any sessions left unused at the end of your window expire. I would much rather you emailed me and paused.

Liability

My total liability to you for anything connected with these terms is limited to the fee you paid. I am not liable for lost profits or lost business opportunities. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law — and nothing here removes your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, and the courts of the PRC have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, this does not deprive you of the mandatory protections you have under the law of the country you live in.
